How to release a device from Command Centre

Releasing an Olarm device from your Command Centre account removes it from your Command Centre profile and transfers the device subscription responsibility to the device owner. This is typically done when a client changes service providers or no longer requires monitoring from your company.

Follow the steps below to release a device:

  • Go to the Devices page in Command Centre

  • Enter the device’s serial number in the search bar

  • Click View on the right side of the result

  • On the Overview page, scroll to the Release Device button

  • Click the Release button

    • A confirmation popup will appear -click Release again to confirm.

    • Once complete, the device will automatically switch to Olarm Direct billing

Extra Tips

  • Only release a device if you no longer intend to monitor or manage it.

  • Once released, your Command Centre will no longer have access to the device’s data or settings.

  • The end user can continue using the device with an Olarm subscription or link it to a new Monitoring/Installation company

  • Always double-check the serial number before confirming the release.
