How to connect an Olarm MAX to a DIGIDOOR DIGI 6 garage motor

Step 1: Connect the Olarm MAX

Cut and strip both sides of the reversible peripheral cable. Wire one of the stripped ends of the cable to the Olarm MAX as follows:

  • Red to + (Positive)

  • Black to GND

  • Green to IO PORT 1

  • Cut off the yellow wire should it not be used

Wire the other stripped end of the cable to the DIGIDOOR DIGI 6 garage motor controller as follows:

  • Red to 24V

  • Black to GND

  • Green to PB

  • Cut off the yellow wire should it not be used

Step 2: Put the Olarm MAX into Standalone Mode

Once the device has powered up, add the Olarm MAX to the Olarm APP and put the device into standalone mode by following the steps below.

The Olarm MAX will continue to flash green until you complete this step. The device may go solid red should this step not be completed within a certain time. This is not an issue, complete this step as per usual.


  • Tap on the Menu icon

  • Select Device Setup

  • Change the Olarm MAX Setup to “NO”

    • You are telling the Olarm MAX that it is not connected to an alarm system or an electric fence

Step 3: Setup the IO Port in the Olarm APP

The IO Port 1 will need to be setup as an output to trigger the DIGIDOOR DIGI 6 garage motor. Follow the steps below to setup IO Port 1 in the Olarm APP.

  • Tap on the Menu icon

  • Select Device Setup

  • Go to Input/Output

  • Click the Arrow & select IO Port 1

  • Enable the toggle to activate the port

  • Give the port a Name (ie. Home Gate)

  • Tap the Settings dropdown

  • Select “Output” for the Port type

  • Select “Pulse” for the Mode

  • Enter “300” for duration & select “milliseconds”

  • Choose the Button Icon, Colour & Text

  • Select what the port is used for and Save
