Using the Olarm MAX and its I/O ports as a communicator-only device

The Olarm MAX features two I/O Ports that can be used to monitor older or incompatible alarm, fire, or panic systems. These I/O Ports are configured in the Olarm APP to detect voltage changes in the monitored system, with the appropriate Contact ID assigned in Command Centre based on the function and monitoring purpose.

We recommend using or programming a terminal/PGM set to a negative trip for events.

To set this up:

  1. Leave the yellow and green communication wires disconnected
  2. Power up your Olarm MAX device
  3. Add the device to your Olarm APP

Disabling panel mode in the Olarm APP

Step 1: Navigate to the Olarm MAX you wish to monitor & go into the Device Setup

Step 2: Set the Olarm MAX setup answer to No

Step 3: Confirm the Olarm MAX is not connected to a supported Alarm System or Energizer

Note: This will turn the Olarm MAX solid blue, as it has been told not to look for a compatible alarm system or energizer.
