Olarm MAX Firmware Release Notes



This article summarises the changes for each firmware release for the Olarm MAX.

In order to update the Firmware on your Olarm MAX, as a Primary user, please navigate to Device Setup then to the Firmware update tab in the Olarm APP.

Changes
  • Improved Video Streaming Stability when reading the username

V1.6.4

Release Date: 05/02/2025

Changes
  1. Improved panel communications with IDS X-series support reducing failed to communicate with the panel signals

  2. Improved event recognition on Paradox support preventing rare cases of false events in the users' event log, did not affect signalling.

  3. Improved Texecom Premier 412/816/832 event detection for alarm, preventing zone movement triggering an Alarm event in the app, did not affect signalling.

  1. Improved Panel Communications monitoring for Paradox, IDS, DSC Power Series and Texecom Premier series Alarm panels, reducing st fail/SPT to AS panel communications loss (CID 353)
  2. Improved various signal detection for Olarm MAX generated signals:
    1. 365 - Communicator Backup Power Supply Disconnected
    2. 360 - Communicator Main Power Supply Loss
    3. 361 - Communicator Main Power Supply Low event
    4. 362 -Communicator Backup Power Supply Low
  3. Improved tamper detection for removing the Olarm MAX from the wall mount. This prevents false 316 tamper CID signals.
  4. Improved External Antenna Tamper Detection.
  5. Fixed a bug causing false AC Fail signals when requesting zone labels on Paradox MG/SP

  1. Olarm MAX now supports arming up to 4 stay arm profiles per partition on supported IDS X-Series panels.
Changes:
  1. General:
    1. Improved Olarm MAX performance on internal and external power supply detection.
  2. Olarm Video:
    1. Added support on Olarm Video for more special characters when adding a camera with a password.

  1. Olarm MAX now supports DSC NEO; the support covers the following models: 
    1. HS2016
    2. HS2032
    3. HS2064
    4. HS2128
Changes
  1. Increased the data transfer rate for Wi-Fi to improve Olarm Video performance.
  2. Olarm MAX now connects to the Access Point with the best signal strength available. This helps where many access points with the same name (e.g., a mesh network) exist.
