Olarm MAX Firmware Release Notes



This article summarises the changes for each firmware release for the Olarm MAX.

In order to update the Firmware on your Olarm MAX, as a Primary user, please navigate to Device Setup then to the Firmware update tab in the Olarm APP.

V1.10.2

Release Date: 31/08/2026

New Features
  1. Honeywell Dimension and G3 panel support (Beta)
    1. Zone fetching is now limited to the detected panel's zone count, so it completes reliably on smaller panels without repeated attempts.
    2. Panic events now report correctly as Emergency, separate from a general alarm. Fire and Medical events are handled the same way and stay active until the panel is properly disarmed.
    3. Panel AC power failure and restoral are now reported.

    1. Fixed a daily connection warning being raised during the panel's 24-hour communication test, caused by Olarm MAX marking the panel as disconnected while it was busy.

New Features
  1. Honeywell Dimension and G3 panel support (Beta)
    1. Remote Connect now works reliably for the RSS Remote Keypad on Dimension panels. RSS Ethernet must still be pointed at Olarm Remote Connect (IP 127.0.0.1, port 9977), and the panel's RS232 port must be connected to Olarm MAX's RS232 port — see the installation instructions.
    2. Added Remote Connect support for G3 panels.
    3. Remote arming now runs the panel's normal exit-delay countdown before setting, matching the panel keypad's Timed Set behaviour.
    4. Remote full set now completes reliably, even on panels where the configured Exit Time could otherwise leave the area stuck counting down.
    5. Added support for logging in with a site password when one is set on the panel's Ethernet module.
    6. Added monitoring-station signalling for connection loss and tamper conditions, shown on the panel keypad.
    7. The app can now show entry-delay status for Dimension and G3 panels.
  2. Honeywell G2 panel support (Beta)
    1. Added Remote Connect support, including the RSS Remote Keypad. RSS Ethernet must still be pointed at Olarm Remote Connect (IP 127.0.0.1, port 9977).
    2. Olarm MAX tamper is now reported to the panel.
    3. Added entry-delay status reporting for G2 panels.
Changes
  1. Olarm MAX
    1. Fixed false high-temperature alerts being sent while Olarm MAX is scanning for a panel.

    • Fixed an issue where the MAX would resend the last transmitted signal on start-up, causing duplicate events to appear.

  • Added support for extended user codes (5–8 digits) when setting or changing access codes via the Olarm app.

Changes

    • Disarming via the Olarm app now supports 5- and 6-digit user codes (previously limited to 4 digits).

  • Texecom Premier

    • Fixed missing alarm events to the Olarm APP caused by incorrect log reading — some zone triggers and area state changes were not being reported.

    • Fixed connection drops that could occur during alarm event log reads.

    • Fixed an issue where the MAX unnecessarily restarted its full panel session after a reboot.

    • Improved stability for Olarm MAX serial connection to the Panel.

  • Texecom Premier Elite 168

    • Improved zone status reporting.

  • Video

    • Improved video stream reliability, particularly on challenging or restricted networks.

    • Fixed connection failures that affected some sites using relay-based video routing.

    • Improved stability during video stream setup.


V1.9.3

Release Date: 07/05/2026 

Changes

  1. Added new signal (E138) indicating if the panel loses communication and temperature exceeds 45 degrees. An R138 is sent when panel communication resumes and temperature falls below 44 degrees.
  2. Fixed issue on DSC Neo where Max loses connection and sends an E353 (panel to Max communication failure) every second if the panel's correct master code is not applied.
  3. Fixed issue on Orisec where latest UDL version (V7) failed to complete handshaking with the panel.
  4. Improved Paradox integration to capture signals during panel handshaking.
  5. Improved OTA to resume downloading after dropped connections.

  1. More Reliable Network Recovery: Made changes to better handle network interruptions. If your Cellular/Wifi connection drops or switches, the system is now better equipped to recover without causing issues.

Changes
  1. Increased the data transfer rate for Wi-Fi to improve Olarm Video performance.
  2. Olarm MAX now connects to the Access Point with the best signal strength available. This helps where many access points with the same name (e.g., a mesh network) exist.
