Enabling Playback in the Olarm APP of your Hikvision IP camera

Requirements:
  1. DVR/NVR that is recording
  2. Olarm MAX connected to an Alarm System with zones
  3. Successfully added camera to the Olarm MAX and Olarm APP
  4. NTS setup (time needs to be accurate on the DVR/NVR)

Notes
Playback enables you to link recorded video footage from your DVR/NVR to your Olarm APP’s zone activity history. When a zone is activated, this event is stored in the app’s activity log which will then have a 10 second clip attached to the log entry.

You will need to enable the NTP (Network Time Protocol). The NTP function allows a device that is connected to the Internet to sync time with a NTP server. This ensures the time on your camera's and DVR/NVR is accurate which then allows the Olarm MAX to match zone activity events to recorded footage for playback in the Olarm APP.

  • Navigate to “Configuration

  • Click on “System Settings

  • Select the “Time Settings” tab

  • Toggle the “Tick box” to enable NTP




Step 1: Enable playback in the Olarm APP



Step 2: Enter the Playback path/URL




The standard HikVision camera Playback path/URL is as follows, ensure you edit it to suit your camera channel number:

/Streaming/tracks/202

or
/Playback/tracks/202
  • Ensure you enter your relevant camera’s channel number (1-48)

  • Ensure you enter 02 should your DVR/NVR be recording on its sub-stream, do not use 01 which is the mainstream

Alert
Should your IP Camera only be capable of recording one stream, you will need to enter 01

Step 3: Select the Hikvision playback time format



Hikvision’s standard playback time format is as follows:

<YYYYMMDD>T<HHmmss>Z

Step 4: Save the playback settings and test out activity log by triggering the linked zone
