You can update your Olarm MAX firmware in two ways:

1. Power up the device without connecting it to an alarm system or energizer
2. If already connected to a system, simply disconnect the communication wires

Once powered, the device will connect to the Olarm Cloud and receive the latest firmware update.

Step 1: Cut and strip the relevant sides of the communications cable

Step 2: Only wire the red and black wires to the positive and negative terminals on the Olarm MAX

Leave the yellow and green communication wires disconnected to prevent system detection.

Step 3: Wire the other side of the communications cable to the power terminals of the peripheral

Olarm MAX Power Requirements & Startup Sequence

The Olarm MAX operates on 12V-24V power, supplied by an alarm system, energizer, or compatible power source.

Startup LED Sequence:

1. White (solid) - Device powering up
2. Green (flashing) - Searching for peripheral
3. Red (solid) - No peripheral detected
   

Step 4: Add the Olarm MAX to the Olarm APP and navigate to device setup

The Olarm MAX will show a problem state (solid red LED), but this won't affect your ability to continue with device setup.

  

Step 5: Navigate to the the Update Firmware tab in the Olarm APP

Step 6: Initiate the Firmware update and allow the device to update
