Troubleshooting an Olarm MAX installation on Texecom Premier Alarm Systems

Ensure UDL password is correctly set

The UDL password must be set to 1234 for the Olarm MAX to communicate with the panel.

Check IP and port settings

Verify that the IP address and port settings on the alarm panel match those specified in the Olarm MAX install guide.

Ensure Olarm is connected to the correct Com Port

Confirm that the Olarm MAX is plugged into the same Com Port that has been configured in the panel’s programming.

Nothing connected to Com 2? Enable IP Coms on both ports

If nothing is connected to Com 2, it must still be enabled for IP communication.
Some panels require both Com Ports to be set to IP for the Olarm to be detected correctly on Com 1.

To enable IP Coms on Com 2:

  1. Enter Engineering Code

  2. Press Programming Menu

  3. Press [9] (Programming Menu)

  4. Enter [7][6]

  5. Press [9]

  6. Enter [3]

  7. Press [9] [9] to exit

Final step: Reboot the panel

After updating Com Port settings:

  1. Recheck all programming

  2. Reboot the alarm panel with the Olarm MAX connected

  3. Important: Always remove the capacitor from the Olarm MAX before rebooting the panel
