Troubleshooting an Olarm MAX installation on DSC PowerSeries Alarm Systems

Firmware requirement

Ensure that the DSC PowerSeries alarm panel is running firmware version V1.5.1 or higher.

Multiple keypads on the system

If you have more than one keypad connected to the system:

Keypad configuration: Set at least one keypad to Global and Slot 1. The remaining keypads can then be configured according to their respective partition and slot.

To configure the keypad:

  1. Press [*] [8] [Installer’s Code] – Enter Installer Programming

  2. Press [0] [0] [0] – Enter Keypad Assignment Section

  3. Press [0] [1] – Enter Partition and Slot Assignment

Evolution Kit becomes unresponsive after Olarm MAX is added

If the Evolution Kit stops responding after installation:

Wireless receiver conflict: Add a PC5320 wireless receiver module to resolve the issue.
Alternatively, disconnect the existing receiver from the alarm panel.

Can arm but not disarm via the Olarm APP

If arming works but disarming fails:

Master code mismatch: Ensure that the Master Keypad Code is entered correctly in the Olarm APP.

Can’t arm or disarm via the Olarm APP

If you’re unable to arm or disarm at all:

Quick arm function: Verify that Quick Arm is enabled in the panel’s programming.

Navigate to:

  • Location 015

  • Enable Option 4
