Adjust your Hikvision NVR camera’s substream settings by using your camera’s Video Management System or logging into the camera’s settings directly through it's IP Address and assigned camera credentials.
Should you be using the Hikvision Video Management System, adjust the substream video settings in the Configuration tab under the heading Video/Audio.
Adjust the substream’s video settings as follows:
- Ensure you are adjusting the correct camera’s settings
- Ensure you are adjusting the “Sub-Stream” type
- Video type needs to only be “Video stream” and not Video&Audio
- Reduce the “Resolution” to the anything below 640x480
- Set the “Video quality” to Low or Lower
- Set the “Bitrate Type” to Constant
- Reduce the “Frame Rate” to around 6-8 fps
- Set the “Max. Bitrate” to 264 Kbps or slightly higher
- Ensure the “Video Encoding” is set to H.264
