Installation Requirements

The IDS Plug-on Serial Adapter For 806 and X-Series Serial is required for this installation.

Step 1: Programme your IDS X-Series Serial Alarm System

• Enter the installer code followed by a [*]

  • The default installer code is [9999] or [999999] 

  • If these do not work, please contact the alarm installer who installed / manages the alarm system

• From the installer menu, enter the location code [196] followed by [*]

• Enter the Serial Security Code [123456] followed by [*]

• Press [#] button 2 to 3 times until you hear 4 to 5 beeps from the keypad, this will take you out of the installer menu

Step 2: Connect the Olarm MAX

Before connecting the Olarm MAX, power down your alarm system.

Plug the 5-pin side of the reversible peripheral cable to the IDS Plug-on Serial Adapter For 806 and X-Series Serial, and plug the adapter board into the Serial Port on the IDS X-Series Serial Alarm Panel.

Cut and strip the 4-pin side of the cable. Wire this end of the cable into the terminals found on the back of the Olarm MAX.

• Red to + (Positive)

• Black to GND

• Yellow to SERIAL 1

• Green to SERIAL 2

Step 3: Enter the Master/User code in the Olarm APP

Once you have powered up your IDS X-Series Serial alarm system, and have added it to the Olarm APP. You will be prompted to enter the Master/User code in the app.
