How to update an Olarm device's firmware in Command Centre

Firmware updates ensure your customer’s Olarm device runs the latest features, performance improvements, and security patches. Using Olarm Command Centre, partners can remotely initiate a firmware upgrade with just a few clicks.

Follow the steps below to update a device’s firmware:

  • Go to the Devices page in Command Centre

  • Enter the serial number of the Olarm device in the search bar

  • Click View on the far right of the result

  • In the left-hand menu, select Update Firmware

  • Click the Update Firmware button at the bottom of the screen

  • A confirmation popup will appear - click Yes to proceed

    • A second popup will confirm that the update has started

    • You’ll see a progress percentage during the update process

  • Once complete, you’ll see:
    “Firmware has been successfully downloaded to the device.”

Extra Tips

  • Firmware updates typically take up to 10 minutes to complete.

  • Make sure the device is powered on and online during the update.

  • If progress doesn’t start or stalls, refresh the page or check the device's connection.

  • It’s recommended to avoid performing other commands on the device while the update is running.

  • Ensure the customer’s alarm system is disarmed when performing a firmware update.
