You are able to split a single Olarm device into different areas or partitions so that different users only see what they need to. Before requesting Olarm to split a device into multiple partitions, you must ensure the device and settings in the Olarm APP are correctly configured. This helps prevent access issues and ensures that each partition functions as intended.
Only the Primary user or their armed response company can request Olarm to perform a partition split. The Primary user is also responsible for managing user access after the split.
Confirm the device is online.
Verify the device shows as connected in the Olarm APP before proceeding.
Check the number of partitions set up in the APP.
Ensure the correct number of partitions is set up within the Olarm APP settings.
Disable the PGM and IO buttons (if required).
If you do not want users from other partitions to access PGM or IO controls, disable these buttons before requesting the split.
Request Olarm to split the partition.
The Primary user or their armed response company must contact Olarm Support at support@olarm.com to perform the partition split.
It takes approximately 15 minutes for the split partitions to update in the Olarm cloud and in the Olarm APP.
Rename partitions.
After the split, the Primary user can rename each partition in the Olarm APP as required.
Manage user access.
The Primary user can add users to the relevant partitions as needed.
The Primary user can remove users from the main device if they should only access specific partitions.
Users on other partitions will still see all zones.
