Once you have changed the settings in your camera system, we can now link each camera in your Olarm app.
Does your camera support RTSP?
This information is usually specified on the manufacturer’s site in the device specifications section. If such information is missing, use online services. For example, https://www.ispyconnect.com/cameras - Choose the manufacturer of the camera.
- Locate your device model. If the device is missing from the list, it does not support this protocol and cannot be connected to the Olarm security system using an RTSP link.
How to link a camera in the Olarm app
Although the configuration process is similar for many routers, the names of the parameters and the settings may differ for different manufacturers.
Linking a camera in the Olarm App has 6 primary steps:
- Adding connection settings for your camera solution
- Adding your authentication details
- Linking a camera to specific zones
- Approve Armed Response and secondary user access
- Testing the connection
- Save and add the camera
Once you have linked a camera you can view that camera in your Olarm app.
Step 1: Adding connection settings for your camera solution
1.1 Navigate to device setup
1.2 Select Add a Camera
1.3 Give your Camera a Name
1.4 Enter your cameras IP Address
1.5 Enter the Port number
554 is the standard RTSP port number for camera streams unless it was changed during the original camera setup.

The path specific to your manufacturer for streaming cameras
Dahua - /Streaming/channels/<X channel number><YY stream type number>
Hikvision - /cam/realmonitor?channel=X&subtypeY

This is different to the Live Stream Path/URL. Should you want playback, you may have to activate the sub stream on your camera system.
Dahua - /streaming/tracks/XYY
Hikvision - /cam/playback?channel=X&subtype=Y
1.8 Enter the playback time format
Step 2: Enter the login username and password used to access the video management system
