How to Add a View-Only User in Command Centre
Introduction
You'll be able to manage who has access to an Olarm device through Command Centre. Adding a View-Only user gives you control over who can monitor the device and receive alerts in the Olarm APP without allowing them to control the alarm system.
The user must first download the Olarm APP and create an account. If they do not have an account, they will appear as a pending user.
To Add a View-Only User
- Go to the Devices page in Command Centre.
- Enter the device’s serial number in the search bar.
- Click View on the right-hand side.
- In the left-hand menu, select the Users tab.
- Choose either Add user by email or Add user by phone.
- Enter the user’s email address or phone number (including the correct country code).
- Click the user type drop-down arrow and select View-Only.
- Click Add New User and accept the terms.
- A pop-up will confirm that the user was added successfully.
Extra Tips
- Adding users by email is often more reliable, especially for international numbers.
- Make sure the user has verified their Olarm APP account before being added.
- View-only users can monitor the alarm status, view bypassed zones, and receive notifications, but they cannot arm or disarm the system or bypass zones.
- Existing users can be edited and changed to View-Only users.
- Existing View-Only users can be edited and changed to standard users.
